Baikal Scullcap

(Huang qin) Important Chinese medicinal herb: prescribed for fevers, colds, hypertension, insomnia, headaches, hepatitis, diphtheria, shingles, and other ailments. Many of its traditional uses are supported by clinical studies. Very showy blue flowers. Ht. 40 cm/15. Must have good drainage, and does not transplant well; otherwise easy to grow and very hardy.
