Corn syrup is a very common sweetener that is hard to avoid in a fast-paced society. What herbs, supplements, or methods would you recommend that would address the effects of it, assuming that one would try to avoid it but on occasion still wind up drinking beverages or eating products such as breads containing it?
An essential factor in health is a whole food diet. Food products that contain corn syrup are likely to contain other ingredients that are refined, processed or artificial so it is best to avoid these products. If your diet consists of mainly fresh fruit and vegetables, whole grains and legumes, then the body is getting the fuel it needs for health, and a little corn syrup taken occasionally will not be harmful.
