Growing Herbs for Asthma, Thyroid, and Goitre

I would like to ask some questions about raising goldenseal and other medicinal herbs. I am not planning on farming for commercial use, but only for a herbal garden, for my family and some other families here who are interested.
I was wondering if there would be any herb which you could recommend for asthma, thyroid gland problems, and also goiter.
I saw your goldenseal seeds for sale and was interested in that. But was wondering how long it would take for it to be fully mature. And was wondering if there was a possible way to raise black cohosh.

Goldenseal is difficult to raise from seeds. We recommend that you try plants instead. From seeds, goldenseal take 4-5 years to reach maturity and the seeds require exposure to cold to germinate.

I am very interested in starting a medicinal herb garden. Could you please recommend the best herbs for the sicknesses I had mentioned.

For asthma, White Horehound (Marrubium vulgare), Wild Thyme (Thymus serpyllum), Mullein (Verbascum thapus), Plantain ({Plantago major or P. lanceolata), Goldenseal (Hydrastis canadensis), Elecampane (Inula helenium) are useful plants and are all available at Richters.
Goitre is an enlargement of the thyroid gland, usually caused by an iodine deficiency, but sometimes caused by bacteria or a virus. Iodine-rich sea vegetables, such as kelp, are often used in cases of iron-deficiency goitre. Nettles (Urtica dioica) are often used as an adjuvant.
