I would like to ask some questions about raising goldenseal and other medicinal herbs. I am not planning on farming for commercial use, but only for a herbal garden, for my family and some other families here who are interested.Goldenseal is difficult to raise from seeds. We recommend that you try plants instead. From seeds, goldenseal take 4-5 years to reach maturity and the seeds require exposure to cold to germinate.
I was wondering if there would be any herb which you could recommend for asthma, thyroid gland problems, and also goiter.
I saw your goldenseal seeds for sale and was interested in that. But was wondering how long it would take for it to be fully mature. And was wondering if there was a possible way to raise black cohosh.
I am very interested in starting a medicinal herb garden. Could you please recommend the best herbs for the sicknesses I had mentioned. For asthma, White Horehound (Marrubium vulgare), Wild Thyme (Thymus serpyllum), Mullein (Verbascum thapus), Plantain ({Plantago major or P. lanceolata), Goldenseal (Hydrastis canadensis), Elecampane (Inula helenium) are useful plants and are all available at Richters.
