I am interested in planting Roman chamomile as a groundcover. I live in Chicago, Zone 5, I think. It is July 28 and I would like to do it now. Is it possible? If not, when should I do it?You can plant seeds until early September, providing you have a mist system to make sure the seeds do not dry out while germinating. Plants can be planted until about a month before frost. They need time to get well rooted before winter to avoid getting frost heaved out of the soil during winter.
