Can I Plant Groundcover Now?

I am interested in planting Roman chamomile as a groundcover. I live in Chicago, Zone 5, I think. It is July 28 and I would like to do it now. Is it possible? If not, when should I do it?

You can plant seeds until early September, providing you have a mist system to make sure the seeds do not dry out while germinating. Plants can be planted until about a month before frost. They need time to get well rooted before winter to avoid getting frost heaved out of the soil during winter.
Roman chamomile is marginally hardy in zone 5. That means that some winters it will survive just fine, but every few years you will lose some or all of it. We do not recommend roman chamomile for zones lower than 6.
