I would like to grow my own herbs, I live in Florida, USA, we have screen porches here and it is so hot and humid. Can you help me figure out which herbs I can grow in this climate? I use them for cooking.Florida is zone 8 in the North, Zone 9 in the middle and zone 10 in the southern tip. Our catalogue gives you the zones (abbreviated as Z) that our plants will survive in out of doors and you can therefore grow anything that survives in the zone you are located in. Annuals are the only problem, because we assume that they do not have to survive winters and can therefore be grown anywhere. There are a few exceptions, such as basil that must be grown warm, but I cannot think of an annual culinary herb that cannot be grown in zones 8 to 10.
