We are just starting up a medicinal herb farm on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada and we need to know what the yield per hectare is for arnica.Arnica montana seems to yield about 300kg/ha of dry matter (according to research one in New Zealand).
We also need to have cultivation info and yield amounts for anise.Anise needs rich, well-drained, sandy and uniformly moist soil, with a pH of 6.3-8.2. Seed at the rate of 10-17kg/ha. For 90cm rows 5.5 kg/ha is sufficient. Plant 1.25 cm deep. Direct seed only.Seed viability plummets after 2 years. Matures in 4-5 months. Harvest when tips turn grey.Yield is 450-1000 kg of seed per ha.
