I was reading the Q&A section of Richters website. I noticed an older posting of a question about organic vanilla in Costa Rica. I lived there for 3 1/2 years, and know of such a place. It is called Villa Vanilla near Quepos on the Pacific Coast. It is one of only three biodynamic farms in Costa Rica, and because of a disease that spread through vanilla in Costa Rica about 8 years ago, this is the only place that is successfully growing it for market. Their web address is: www.rainforestspices.comThank you for this information.
Hank, the owner, has had representatives from the Josephine Porter Institute come to his place to make biodynamic preparations, back in 2004. He has been Demeter Certified for 8 years.
Hope this is helpful for general reference, and the person who requested the information. Their name was Paton Miller.
